I hope you all don't think that I'm gloating based on what I'm going to write here. This is for why I won't be able to attend subsequent class outings/reunions/chalets until... year 6 maybe. I'm going over to Taiwan for over a year, not really sure how long, won't be more than two years, because my dad's working there and my family's moving over temporarily to be with him. As for my studies, things'll settle themselves out. So yup, that's why I won't be able to make it. But I will go once I'm back. I'll try to make it for each and every one!

On a side note, how is everyone doing? (: good I hope. Jiayou for the rest of the year! Half of 2011 is already gone. Work hard and play harder. After the work is done of course, haha ~suan~

Actually not exactly because I have no specific topic to talk bout.. but I miss 2B. Can't believe few months later we'll be repeating the same thing - subject combi talks, ... it's gonna be like deja vu. And by next yr we would have been apart for 2 whole years.

Haha rmbr the time when Shi Kai and Wei Quan got scolded by a tchr in class? Cos Wei Quan's a SC and he was apparently playing with a broom.

Hello 2B! I am here to officially revive this blog!
I AM YIHENG! Haha long time no post here, I know yall miss my crap.
Anyway, time fly super fast.
We are now wearing year 4 uniform le.

It felt like only yesterday I walked into 2 malan road and dont know where to go, then walked into LT1 then found 1B and sat down.
Then later, PSLs came to the rescue, Bryce, Joanne and Weijian, Haha i have good memory yeah.
I think the 2 years spent together was really a memorable one, because most of us change alot in the 2 years, from oversized/overaged P6 kids to Secondary 2 teens. Come to think of it, we really have been through so much together, personally, just counting the numbers of times I argue with sharon, I think if we put all the anger into 1 time, i think we 2 could blow the whole of the classroom up. But all of it is worthwhile, otherwise, I wont have so many pieces of beautiful memories.
1 year and more has passed since we sat together in a classroom together and was known as 2Bee, long has it been since you had seen me and I had seen you in the same classroom.

You guys painted 2 years of my life with colours.
Even if the paint is finally peeling off,
the colours are never going to fade.
I hope the colours never fade.

This is an attempt to revive this blog, and at the same time bring back some memories. :)

Was looking through photos on Facebook and came across this:

Though not everyone is in the photo, most of us looked so different right (hehe look at Anyi)? Haha it's been 2 years.. Thinking bout it, it wasn't long, at all. At least we didn't feel like it was a long time spent with one another. Time seemed to fly. :p But now time's creeping amazingly slowly I can't wait for the december holidays already.

Hopefully everyone's doing fine. :) Haha I'm sure we can still always contact one another if we have problems. Stay happy!

Some very interesting ones would be Yongsheng( memories of suaning and complaining and flaming Ms Agnes Lee),
Therena's one is fantastic, it actually shows a very obvious story of whats going on in 1/2B, and how things changed.
My blog's closed.Sharon's blog is only opened towards the end of 2009. so yeah.
I highly recommend reading Therena's and Yongsheng's archives(y)
very interesting and maybe Nostalgic?

Hello 2B,
I just logged in to facebook and suddenly,
Some of you all popped up in my mind.
LOL.
I think this is totally random.
Okay, so this is sparked up by Yinghao's msn display message.
That goes something like People log in to fb more than msn liao.
So I went to facebook.
And immediately I got reminded of Warzone TOWER DEFENCE!!!
like wth seriously.
Then i got reminded of yinghao, zihao and teeyeeyang talking about how they are pro at the game.
And yeeyang say he use the blockers to lure the attacking units to the left then to the right then over again, or was it zihao.
I think this is damn random and funny.
I also remember how I tagged team with therena and Amanda to do our stupid flash project which in the end the comp hanged after we spent 2-3 hrs hard at it.
Chris Wong was about to give us C unless we showed our credits,
So I anyhow type in a few url then we got B(Y)

LOL in the end i didnt dare to give mr ho, again. this has always been in my thumbdrive though, as though i know i will need it some day, i never deleted it. looking back, i seriously find myself stupid to have done all those stupid stuff. even i myself dunno why i hated shikai LOL. and now? he is my best friend. irony, irony. many things have changed inmy life, but one thing havent, its still the same two words i want to say to all of you.

Hello everyone, we will be organising another class outing this June Holiday and for the outing to be a success, please vote at the polls and surveys below honestly. Do not think about sudden events that will crop up last minute, and if you are certain you will not attend, please leave a tag or inform any of the three: Yunyi, Therena, Sharon

Basically Yunyi threw down all her suggestions and I let Therena filter them. I'm not really a choice-maker so I didn't do the filtering LOL. Therena preferred to keep te nature-related so that everyone will get to speak to one another and unlike a movie, you won't sit down there and simply watch.

The next poll is asking which week out of all 4 weeks in the June Holiday you are less occupied with. If you are less occupied in weeks 2 and 3, tick two options. This poll allows more than 1 answer to be ticked.

It feels different reading what you have wrote 2 years ago.
Mine is full of grammar mistakes, but hey its 2 years ago! I shall leave it in it purest form. :D
I shall just paste the whole thing here just in case you missed it.
It will definitely bring back memories.

Being 1B-iians

Remember when the first day in River Valley High School, when all we can remember about the others is their most significant feature. Mistaking one as the other and trying to remember other people’s names is what we often do. I still remember Eugene and I, the only two boys that come to RV from Woodlands Primary, walking around the school 10 times during the recess, as everyone is still with their primary friends and not with the new classmates.

Slowly, after the hard work of the PSLs, 1B became more like a class. The class started splitting into groups. I had since then, talk less to my primary school friends, I started to be less friendly and even ignoring them if I see them. Eugene is still my friend but as more activities like cca started, we started to talk less. But I still am not sure who to be good friends with in the class. Cca became what I like most in school, since it is easier to befriend my seniors.

Now, towards the end of the school year, I have a few good friends. Firstly, there is Shi Kai, who at first I have problem to befriend with, when talking with him, I must have to be careful of what I say or I will get scolded. Secondly, there is Tzu Hsiang, smart and faithful, but somewhat irritating, he is the only other year one boy in string ensemble and it is quite irritating to be around him for such a long time, so sometime I will scold him or something, I am sometimes sorry for scolding him but mostly I am too angry for it. Thirdly, it is Yi Heng, he is nice and organized, and it is very nice to have him around. And lastly, it is Timothy; I think I consider him as my best friend; he is, like Tzu Hsiang, sometimes very irritating, but in a different way. Timothy is friendly and his study is more to my standard, not like my other friends, hence, it is easier to talk to him about studies. I think that the class is getting lots better, and is better bonded, even though there is still a lot of improvement to make. Like sometimes I see other students staying back to play, I will be thinking of my primary six life where I stay back to play everyday, even during exam period, and be hoping that the class will also do that.

2. Apologizes

I think I have a few people to apologize to. I must say that I have been trying hard to control my anger. In primary school, I had been a hot temper person; my friends sometimes refer me to be a nice person turning into a crazy one when I become angry.

Firstly, it is to Morgan, whom I had a fight with at the end of term two, I have lost control of my anger due to the bottled up anger of both you and some other people that I don’t remember. Sorry. Secondly, it is to Sharon, whom I have shouted at on one of the PE lesson. That is because of you keep scolding me for asking Sebastian questions and I finally exploded, for that I am sorry. Thirdly, it is to Sin Yi, whom I shouted for not accepting the newsletter from PE department, I am not sure about the reason for it but I am sorry for it. I think that is all the people that I have to apologize to.

I think there are no more things to say, so this is the end of the journal!

Yeo Sze Ho

It had been a very fun-filled and meaningful year in 1B. Throughout the year, many events took place but of all the events, the event that had left its deepest memory in me must have been the IU day competition. Through this competition, our class became more bonded together and also we got to work with classmates whom we do not really understand yet. Also, I have learnt to appreciate the class more and respect one another’s ideas and thoughts more readily. We were given the task of researching and decorating the classroom to represent Greece and show the rest of the school what are the unique points of this country.

The first problem encountered by us was the proposal. The deadline was reaching fast, yet our proposal form was still a blank. It took us about two sessions of class discussion to finally settle this problem and spilt the class into a few groups with the help of our form teacher. Then we had the next job of researching on the country Greece. For the next task, we went to the museum to find out more about Greece. The museum was currently having an exhibition on ancient Greece.

The trip to the museum turned out to be extremely fun and we had a whale of a time looking at the white marble statues and the trip even sparked some ideas for the competition. Also this was the first class outing we have ever had. Till now, I still treasure the moments we spent pointing and sharing jokes about the louver statues.

The competition was like a 400m race. At first, we were moving at a snail pace with hardly anything done. But as the final days to the actual judging day, we started racing to decorate the class. The class became more and more united as the difficulties kept coming, each proving more challenging than the previous, until finally, the day we had been anticipating yet dreading for arrived. The announcement of our class coming in first proved that our countless hours of hard work had paid off.

Through this meaningful activity, we had learnt to appreciate our classmates more. Respecting each other’s unique ways by knowing that they can use it in order to help the class complete a single goal. There is more strength in numbers. So I hope the 1B I know will always be bonded togrther!

Eric Kuan

A year in 1B is very exciting. We support each other, care for each other and share with each other our joy and sorrows. We are like 1 big family. Like other classes, we are not together all the time. We have our own clique where we stay with people we like.

However, at times, we will get together and work as 1 team. 1 example is the IU day project. Everyone did their part and coordinate with 1 another. In the end, we won.

The 1 thing that is special is that we are often visited by our VIPs – Bee. That really frighten me off as I am so afraid of it. However, maybe that is what that make us 1Bee.

I love 1B. It is a very unique class as it is one of its kind. The time I spent with my classmates are unforgettable. (The Orientation camp, The E&C week Camp and our time in class). I am glad that we will still be in the same class next year and I believe that we will be more united.

Chew Ying Ying

This year has been a good year Although there were some unhappiness, I enjoyed being with the class. At the start of the school, everyone were not bonded and did not get along well. As the months passed by, we slowly get to know each other better.

One very memorable event to me is the IU day. Just a few days before the presentation of the IU day, we were not ready for the presentation. Many of us had not finished what we were supposed to do. At that time, the class really bonded together and finished up what they had to do for the class. We put in our efforts and we won the champion of the competition.

The class used to be not so bonded in the past, once there was a class outing and many people voted to go bowling. In the end, only six out of the class came for the class outing. It has hilarious and saddening at the same time, to think that a six-people outing would be counted as a class outing!

After the exams, everyone wanted a class outing. It was glad that finally the class wanted to have a class outing together. It was happy to see that the class wanted to be together, I hope that the class outing in the holidays would be a success with everyone turned up.

In 1B, we had a lot of fun together and we also made many good friends. It has been a fun and memorable year and I hope to spend more time with the class next year!

Weiquan

My year in 1B has been quite enjoyable. I would not say that our class is very united, or is strongly-bonded together. In fact, we still face conflicts at times. Take for instance, when we are discussing about our class outings. We might start off as a peaceful discussion. However, it will inevitably develop into an aggressive argument. Therefore, I feel that our class can improve in this area.

Furthermore, there seems to be an invisible barrier between the boys and the girls. This can be evidently seen from the project groups. When we are allowed to choose our own group members, you will always see single-gender groups. Thus, I feel that if the boys in our class could interact more with the girls, our class would become more united and co-operative.

1B seems to have separated into several cliques too. This might be more applicable to the girls because the boys are always in a cluster. This occurrence might cause some obstacles to the overall closeness of our class. Therefore, I feel that we should probably mix around with one another, rather than stick in a group.

However, there are some enjoyable moments in 1B too. One moment would be during the International Understanding Day.(IU Day) When our class worked hard together to accomplish a common goal, it was really very good. Although it was due to the last-minute work, we still worked together, just like what a class should do. Therefore, I feel that our class was really bonded during the International Understanding Day.

There was another incident which happened on the bus. Although it did not really included the whole class, but I still felt that the incident was quite meaningful. A bunch of us were actually on the bus. Then, we started taking photos of one another for no reason. I felt that it was rather interesting and, it shows that the few of us are actually quite bonded.

Although some of us in the class might not like to mingle with other people, however, we are still a class. I believe that we would definitely make use of the time remaining for us to interact more with one another. We would definitely become a more bonded class with great class spirit!

Ng Yong Sheng

My experiences in 1B have taught me a lot of things. For instance, my position as an AVRep allows me to have lots of interaction with the visualiser, projector and the screen. This has greatly increased my knowledge on AVA equipment and I am indeed extremely grateful to 1B for giving me this chance, even though I’m still not very good at it and apologies for that.

Also I am very happy to have had wonderful teachers and classmates who have motivated me to do my best in everything and to stay happy. To be perfectly honest I have to say that my year in 1B is probably the only year in my relatively short school life so far that I have laughed so much. I’m really grateful to 1B for supplying me with so much joy.

Indeed I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for making my year in 1B so fun. I am certain that the wonderful memories acquired this year will stay with me for a very long time. Also, I hope everyone had good memories to keep as well of our great year together in 1B, as a class.

Jolene Quek

I think the class is not bonded enough but we still have one year to try to bond. Well I feel that class outing is a useless attempt to bond. Only six people attended the previous class outing. And by the way no I do not have any idea how to bond.

Actually I feel that the class is bonded in terms of boys and girls. The boys don’t really have cliques while the girls have one or two. So just bond the 2 together. Only problem is how.

Well hope next year the class is more bonded.

Ng Yong

One year in 1B has been great. I can still remember the first Language Arts lesson where we played DONKEY. We got Therena in our group and got sabotaged badly by the other teams.

The year in 1B was also a year in RV. It was literally a turning point in life where we all start moving on with our lives from a child to a teenager. Our first encounter with our new class mates was on that particular day on the first day of school. I had no idea of the fun and conflicts that I was about to face in the time ahead. The first day on the orientation was a great day,I was not familiar with my new classmates and i stuck myself to old ones,which were unfortunately all girls. This was a factor that was facilitating the growth of a not so good reputation. On that day I met my form teacher,a cheerful egocentric man by the name of 何志良.He was a very nice person at first sight and was a main reason of my like for my new school. Our Co-form teacher,Mrs Kan Geok Yan also made herself easily known to us by associating her name with the cantonese word for simplicity.

The orientation camp was memorable especially during the campfire ceremony. There was a downpour and we were unable to have an actual campfire so we had an indoor one with Miss Ek(our Principal)initiating the campfire. It was a memorable and enthusiastic night filled with dreams of the good or stormy times ahead. We had an overnight stay which i could still vividly remember the notorious laughter of boys during supper time and after the lights were out. During supper time,we were engaged in a cheering and singing competition that lit up our spirits and fostered our bonds. After the lights were out I could remember myself groping through the darkness for my water bottle between tens of sleeping bags with my classmates inside of them. I went to the toilet at about 2.00am because I could not fall asleep. I could here YingHao sleep talking beside me. Haha, what a fun night!

Soon we were beginning with our studies in our first term,I was assigned to sit next to my ex Pri school mate:Wanxin, and an unknown classmate by the name of Renzhi. Wanxin was a very cheerful girl that was not afraid to make new friends. Renzhi was a very smart pupil that topped her Pri school. My first impression of Renzhi was that she was a nerdy geek or a geeky nerd. Impressions are obviously not true and I soon found out that she was very cheerful as well. She can be naggy at times but it was her that I always go to when I faced problems with my homework. The first term past by quickly and it was our first steps into making new friends. The most memorable moment was the IU day where our class decorated our classroom like ancient Greece. We won the first prize as a class effort.

Following up closely, the second term soon arrived. It was one of the most memorable of my year in 1B,the mountains of projects brought us all together and made our new friendship stronger. The second term was to me:”The age of exploration”,with everyone getting used to each other,an explosion of friendship and trust filled the class. We were growing up so fast,other than friendship,we got infected by the 'SICK' germ. We were all getting perverted as we were growing up. Actually some of us were pure but we got infected by some of the class clowns. Its a natural process that past by in everyone's life and this had with no exception, happened to the loving class of 1B 2008.We are different from the time when we entered the school.

Term three marked the uncovering of new relationships. We had to change sits,I was assigned to sit next to MinKuan and Sinyi. They were diligent and hard working and they were just as great friends as Wanxin and Renzhi were. This was the moment that we were actually developing the cliques that Mr Ho had already reminded us at the start of the year. We all were sort of classified into our own cliques and the class spirit and bond were depleting drastically. The third term was also the age of change. We were changing fast and our opinion were differentiating further,it was a big problem.

The end of the year had arrived. We had our own cliques and this time,it was clearly shown. I was in the Jonathan, Timothy etc. group. It was a natural process that was drifting 1B apart. There were stupid surveys that asked you to tick against the name of the person you hated. Is this an attempt to break the class spirit? I hope the people who wrote these surveys to think about what the class will react when they see the result of the survey. Remember just yesterday Mr Ho was saying his heart felt feelings towards us,it was very touching. He mentioned that he wanted to apologise to us for not spending enough time with us as our form teacher. I feeling that it is really commendable for an adult to say and apologise to people who are younger than them so easily and thoughtfully.

Sadly to say,an year past like a day. Time flies our hopes and aspirations that we made on our first day of school has revealed itself. We learned what you hope,you must strive to achieved. A year in 1B was an unforgettable experience and a part of my life. I will treasure it. I hope that my little words can add into the fragments of memories and hope that it will be a memento worth rereading.

Yiheng

From the first day till today, 1B has progressed a lot. From strangers, we became friends. From friends, we formed a very unique class. I could still remember the first day of school where I was not that noisy and outspoken. A whole sea of unfamiliar faces greeted me and I knew that this year was going to be a rather tough one. I remembered most of the 1b-ians’ names wrongly and the first few days were really difficult.

However, Mr Ho tried his best by playing a little game with us. We had to memorize one another’s full names in order to play it. It did help in some way though. Sadly, we still stuck to our own friends and the ones whom we were familiar with eventually. Then, the PSLs came and we had the orientation camp. It was really fun and enjoyable. The PSLs brought us together and I finally managed to know some of the 1B-ians better. By that week, I had remembered all the names clearly. I learnt to open up and soon got the courage to speak up. Perhaps that’s why I think I speak too much now…

I do admit that I never once enjoyed sticking to friends that much in primary school. Secondary school life in Rv has changed the way I interact with people. I never once felt that a class could be like a big family. It just makes me happy when I think of coming to school. Now that I think of it, I really prefer Rv to my former primary school. It just gives me the feeling that I love Rv and I want to stay here forever. The orientation camp got us together as a class. After all that fun we had, it was time to settle down in preparation for our first common tests. That was the time when we chose our first two chairpersons- Yunyi and Morgan. They have been wonderful leaders who have fulfilled their duties whole-heartedly. I admit that I tend to be a spoilsport sometimes because I don’t really like people disturbing me out of the blue when I’m very busy and engrossed in my work. It really irritates me a lot but then I’m very sorry and I’ll try means not to get so agitated. These two chairpersons have really put in a lot of effort bringing our class together. It wasn’t easy to deal with a class of 31 people with totally different personalities. They have done a great job.

In the middle of the year, we started getting into cliques-small groups of our own. War broke out within the girls and several people were ostracized as well as ‘hated’. This made us very confused and it made me very angry. All the rumours that I heard make me doubt the ones close to me. Sometimes it really makes my blood boil because we girls do not cooperate as well as the boys in terms of friendship. Mr Ho then spent some quality time explaining and getting us onto the right path. Most of our problems were solved thanks to him. I’m not trying to be the teachers’ pets or whatsoever but I honestly think that no other teachers are as concerned of our wellbeing. Mrs Kan and Mr Ho have been trying to help us to adapt to our secondary school life and I don’t know of other teachers that even bother to do so. It really makes me very glad to have such caring teachers whom you can actually share troubles with.

Due the constant fight between the girls, it made me very confused and I began to lose trust in this class. I felt that we lacked the class spirit and did not deserve a class T-shirt. Until, Mr Ho told us about the true meaning of a class-tee. It means more than a mere t-shirt, it is recognition and it represents the class-spirit. If no one trusts this class, the class-tee will merely be a t-shirt with no true meaning in it. After all, there’s only one 1B and I want to spend some time with 1B. I want our class to be united and I don’t want to end up regretting like many of the seniors. He’s right, it’s just once. This regained my trust in this class.

It makes me sad thinking that very soon, we don’t have the chance to sit in the same classroom and stay the way we are. Things will change no matter what. The world goes on and I want to make the fullest out of this. Thinking that we have to leave Rv five years later makes me feel depressed as well. That is why we should really think about it, about what we really wish for. I really want to remember this class. I don’t wish to regret about being in this class. In whatever you do, there should not be regrets. I want a class-tee and I’m confident that we will find the true meaning in it next year.

Life with 1B has made me very cheerful and I’ll never regret coming to Rv. At least, we have friends. We have companions and most importantly, we have the RV family. This year was an enjoyable one and I think it’ll be even better next year! 1B, lets work hard together. We will get our class-tee and I hope so.

亲爱的1B，这一年来我真的很开心。我们经历过的每一件事，伤心的，开心的，我都会记得。在立化，我尝试过了很多未尝试过的事。这一年来，对我来说，很特别。我终于觉得立化生活没和我想象中的那么有压力。这一年，谢谢你们的照顾和包容。请你们多多指教！我会非常期待明年再一次见到你们！

This is a little irrelevant but it’s related to Rv, so I guess I should include it as well. I wrote this after the sports day held in school. This simple occasion made me feel that Rv was filled with joy and laughter. We were not just an ordinary school, we were a family. A family that is supportive of one another. We were constantly cheering for our friends and team. I ran the 400x4 intra-athletics relay. I felt a lot better because everyone was cheering. We screamed and screamed to let them know that although it’s difficult, they can do it. It was one of the best sports day even though, I didn’t win any medals. It was hundred, thousand or perhaps a million times better than the one I had in my primary school.

I’ll never regret coming to rv for the rest of my life. :D

Wanxin

At the beginning of the year, when I first saw my classmates for the very first time, my impression was that they were very enthusiastic people. For the planned activities, they would participate really actively and during the orientation camp, we had a really great time.

For Term 1, I did not really know everyone well so I was kind of friends with everyone. I did not particularly stick to anyone, nor did I hate anyone. After all, I had only known them for about a month or so. However, during Term 2, there were some changes to my thoughts about the class.

Probably due to the fact that everyone was slightly familiarized to each other, our ‘true colours’ began to show. Everyone started to see each other for who they really were and it was then when the troubles came. Cliques started to form and there were some people who were being ostracized.

There were several disputes that occurred during Term 3. Cliques would break up and those in that particular clique would join another clique. Secrets would be spilled and these would result in disputes. There was one period of time when I really did not like this class as there were too many constant changes.

Things took a slight turn when it came to Term 4. There were fewer disputes and our class started to bond (slightly). My impression of the class also improved slightly and I was beginning to treasure the time spent together with the class.

This one year, I made many valuable friends who went through thick and thin with me. I met many interesting and unusual people that I probably would not forget for the rest of my life. I began to realize that every class has its own problems but if effort is put in to solve them, the time spent with our class may turn out to be the most valuable moments in our lives.

Although there were many changes this year, I certainly look forward to see what changes would happen next year. Life in 1B may improve, or it may just turn out to be worse, we just have to wait and see.

Amanda Ng Chu Ting

After being in 1B for so long, I feel that although the class spirit has been improved, but it can still be further improved. I feel that this class although is not very enthusiastic about class outings and many other class events and normally hang out only with their friends. They can always start with their friends first. There is another year for them to start bonding with each other. Although there are always exception, but what matters the most is that we have fun throughout the year and made new friends as well as learn to accept others for their differences.

Although some people may be ostracized by others, but wad truly matters is whether they have fun and whether they made any friends. Some people may never be accepted by a particular person. But that probably means that there is something that the person has done to deserve that kind of treatment, so that person should reflect upon his wrong doings and do what is right.

I wish that next year when we have gone to 2B, we will come back as a better person, so that we can accept each other and become a true class.

I like this place and the people for who they are and what they do.

Nancy Reagan said that "Homes really are no more than the people who live in them."

I thought it also applied to classes.

1B is like that.

We are free to voice our unhappiness with anyone or anything.

This keeps everyone aware, united and happy.

Apart from occasional disagreements, everyone is so friendly to one another.

I hope 2B is like that.

Timothy Ho

This has been a rather enjoyable year for me. Being a member of river valley high school as a secondary one student is a very good experience for me and especially being in the class 1B. From the beginning of the year till the end of the year, I had a great time with my friends and classmates of 1B.

The time we shared together with one another always brings back good memories and joy. Although sometimes between classmates we have some small arguments or quarrels, but after a short while everything will be back to normal and the class will be all together again. 1B is just like a magnificent place for us to learn and befriend others, which makes us proud to be in this class.

When doing group project works, we often provide help to one another with the best our ability and give one another the support that is needed, showing how united we can be. Besides that, I have also enjoyed myself playing with my classmates of 1B, no matter is it online computer games or games we played during physical education. It is something that I will always look forward to.

Everyday during lesson, laughter can often be heard from our classroom. Some may think that lessons are boring for all of us; however in our class it is different. Our teacher often cracks jokes to make the class burst into laughter and making the whole class seem to be brighten up, and turned more lively. No matter what lesson is it, we will still be as lively as ever, and also be filled with energy.

To me, I am really proud and happy to be able to spend my secondary 1 life in 1B and I am glad that I am in this class. My life in 1B is definitely a very happy and enjoyable process.

Sebastian

It has been a memorable year in 1B, with a new school life in RV and new friends. At the beginning of the year, everyone were strangers, but after some time, we all managed to make new friends and get to know our new classmates. Although we are not very united as a class, there have still been times when our class unity can be seen. For instance, during IU day, we worked as a class to decorate the classroom and clinched first prize.

Like what Mr Ho said, I believe that we are getting more bonded as a class and will continue to do so. Everyone has had their fun times with their own little cliques, but there must also have been some good times spent with the class. I am looking forward to the day when the whole class agrees to have a class tee and I can finally have my own class tee. Actually, I am quite neutral about it, but I don’t mind having a class tee, which I can keep to remember 1B’08.

I appreciate the efforts of our class welfare leaders in trying to bond the class. I have enjoyed this year spent with my clique, as well as the year spent with the class. I look forward to a second year with the class next year, as year 2s. 

Ng Ren Zhi

My year spent in 1B can only be described with one word: WONDERFUL! I believe I’d definitely not experience as much joy and have so much fun if the year was spent in some other classes. I’ve learnt so many things in 1B, and that is definitely not only within the boundaries of the classroom, but also everywhere else where 1B has gone through thick and thin together! I’d gone through sad moments, angry moments, and of course not forgetting the happy times spent with all my dear classmates! I believe these happy memories would be etched in my heart forever…

Not only have I improved academically under the teaching and guidance of the teachers, I feel that 1B has indeed also taught me many moral values! For example, there was once when I had a quarrel with one of my good friends but we soon patched up. This simple incident allowed me to treasure friendship even more and understand how my actions can actually affect others, or even affect myself. As a result, all these little experiences actually summed up to influence me a lot.

What cannot be left out in a journal entry like this are my friends! I’d like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of the 1B family. :) Every single one of you has brought me joy and happiness throughout my whole year in 1B. Of course, there are people who are closer to me, and I would like to thank them for always being there for me when I needed them, providing me support and advice all the time… Some of them include Jie Min, Amanda, Angela, An Yi, Wan Xin, Morgan, Sebas, Shi Kai, Zi Hao (except for his burping), Yong Sheng, etc. Thank you! :) Meeting all of you is indeed one of the best assets I have in life. Perhaps you guys may not know, but you little bees are what make up 1B and make me look forward to school everyday (other than the teachers, homework and lessons!)!

Well, and also not forgetting the wonderful teachers that have taught us in 1B, especially Mr Ho and Mrs Kan! Both of you have been really great teachers, always there to guide and impart your knowledge to us and to care for us… Somehow, no words can express how I feel towards both of you, but I could only say you are the real motivators to me. I’ll definitely study hard to repay both of you and to make sure I bring you pride! :)

Certainly, this year has been an enriching, fun, lovely and happy one! I really love all of you, 1B! Do continue to study and play hard, and aim to achieve our goals! I believe we can make it, gogogo! :)

I LOVE 1B! ALL OF YOU ARE REALLY GREAT, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO GOING THROUGH ANOTHER YEAR WITH YOU! :D

1B provided me with many memories, both good and bad, which I will cherish for the rest of my life.

1B means a lot to me although it is just a year spent together. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teachers for giving us a good education as well as their encouragement, concern for us, guidance and even scoldings, all from which all of us benefitted a lot.

In conclusion, I would like to say that I am truly indebted to 1B for many priceless lessons and treasured moments which I have experienced.

Art Rep’s words for her beloved 1B!

First of all, if you guys do not know who I am, its Regine here, okay? Hahas, yes I’m that slacker ‘subject rep’. That was because the aesthetics teachers never give me stuff to do. Hence, the slacking. But, I do try to help the class in any way that I can. I am writing this in the hope that our class 1B will be more united for next year, and that we can finally get that class tee. Please remember that I’m not here to criticize us, but I only wish that we could be more bonded, girls and guys alike. So this is what I have to say.

I think most of us in 1B would agree with me that there are many unsettled business among us. This means that we might still bear grudges or have feuds with some people in the class. However, I have thought through this problem many times, and I can say that the easiest way for us to become really united is for all of us to have a forgiving heart and be slow to anger.

Take a simple scenario for example. I hope this does not make anyone angry okay? This is ONLY an example. Therena is one of the more ‘outcast’ people in the class. This is because she has more difficulty controlling her emotions, causing the daily fights and quarrels between her and the other 1Bees. She might have offended you guys a lot through this year, but I can see a small change in her attitude. Although I may not know her as well as you guys, but I sense that she feels left out and lonely when nobody talks to her. I know most of us have given her chances to change and we have been disappointed when she doesn’t repent that much. Life is unfair, nothing is fair, and thus all of us will be different. Some of us will make more mistakes than others; most of us would learn and move on, but the minority will be stuck in that cycle of making mistakes and still not turning over a new leaf. However, I believe with more encouragement and help, these minorities will be able to change for the better.

I remember the earlier parts of the year, when I thought you guys did not really like me. I used to be an ‘outcast’ like Therena then. But look, now I have become friends with my classmates. Things have changed. That is why I strongly feel that Therena will, one day, become part of us too. We should not give up hope on her, neither am I saying that we need to sympathize with her fully.

Let go of all our grudges 1B! Let’s look towards the happy future we have ahead of us, and forget our past quarrels. We shall unite as next year’s class, yet not forgotten as the year 08’s 1B of RVHS… Gambatte~

Regine Leo

This year in 1B has been an enjoyable and fruitful one, with all the friends and connections made. I feel really happy to be in 1B because it is not like 1A, 1C, 1D and all the other classes. 1B is a very special and unique class, much better than any other class I have been in during primary school. Of course, a good year in 1B includes Mr. Ho, Mrs Kan and everybody in 1B ‘08.

Let’s go back to the beginning of the year, during orientation. I still remember the first person I made friends with was Yun Hui (if my memory did not fail me) and I played the casualty challenge thing with Sin Yi (this one I remember very clearly). Then I remember during the camp night when we were about to sleep, Jie Min was the one beside me and when she saw me sleeping when everybody was still awake, she said to Joey, ”Wah，旁边这个人睡到很爽.” Ha Ha!!! Guess what I did? I woke up... (If not I couldn’t possibly have heard her say it...)

The year flew away so quickly I did not realise it. We have had the E&C week which was really fun. I also recall the ‘bring your own food day’ or ‘eat with your class day’ (I can’t remember which it is) where everybody brought bananas but didn’t eat them and we ended up having to force others to eat when they lost a game. Haha...

Oooh the Sentosa trip sure was fun!!! So glad only 3 people didn’t come (Well, they missed out on the fun!). We spent the whole day playing in the shallow sea waters, cycling, snacking (although I didn’t really snack much) and playing volleyball (with Shi Kai destroying and disfiguring my volleyball, then everybody started doing that too).

Okay I have some really good friends like Sin Yi, Ying2, Ren Zhi etc. (should I count Yi Heng? Hahahahahahahaha) Now I shall tell everyone one about me!!! What is my favourite subject? I don’t have any. (Since P5) What is my favourite food? Oh I love anything that is delicious. What is my favourite hobby? (Not watching telly mind you!!!) It’s sleeping. What is my favourite game? It is any game that I deem as fun. Which book am I reading now? (Not Twilight...=.=) Checkmate by Malorie Blackman. What is my e-mail? piggy_cmk@hotmail.com (I know it sounds so not like me!)

I have come to the end!!! *All smiles* I will miss 1B :):):) but I’m sure 2B ‘09 will be as good as 1B ’08.

Minkuan

The year in 1B has been great. I can still remember the orientation camp during the first few weeks of school, where everyone was not familiar with each other. We were introduced to our form teachers, Mr Ho and Mrs Kan. Mr Ho looked like a nice person at first sight, and he was a very good teacher. Mrs Kan was a patient and caring teacher, and she was well liked by us.

During the orientation camp, we got to know each other better. It was unlucky that it rained during the campfire, so we had an indoor one. During supper time, everyone was chatting happily, it was such a big change from the first day of school, where everyone kept to themselves.

The first term passed by quickly, one of the memorable events was the IU day project, where we decorated our classroom with the theme of Ancient Greece. After the first term, cliques started to form, and the class spirit was very bad. During the class outing, only 6 people went, and most of the people that went were forced to go.

However, after the end of year exams, there was another class outing. This one was very nicely planned, and most of the class attended it. The year in 1B has passed in a blink of an eye. We have learnt many things in this one year, and it was a memorable experience for me.

Yeeyang

I remembered so many things. How the first day of school where we began our orientation, good old class contact times, heart-to-heart talk, but never forgetting those mugging periods we will have. I don’t remember 1B for getting into any troubles with any teachers, since we’ve been (almost) an excellent class in every teachers’ eyes. 1B’s heritage day where we owned champion on IU day, the Formation Competition in combination with Class B.A.D, and last but not least we’re the only class that got the highest cleanliness grade in history. All the tedious and tough planning for activities but still ended up with success. That’s when I feel all hard work had been truly paid off, and had never regretted. Of course not forgetting our second class outing at Sentosa where I knew everyone had so much fun. Although the first one was pretty a flop as only six people managed to turn up. Nevertheless, 1B always knows when to study and when to have fun.

But of course I won’t try masking up all that had happened in 1B that caused relations to sour. I wouldn’t try to hide it, or to fake it. I guess probably every class will experience a fair share of conflicts, just it depends if anybody’s going to acknowledge it. I just wishfully hope that everything will end in a better note, that I will remember 1B being in laughter and fun instead of all these unhappiness and troubles.

Despite all, we are still forever so fun-loving. Though things happen, but I wouldn’t question the fact that this class had been fun to be with. But what could I say? I could never forget this class. My lovely bees, hoping it’ll be a better year for us next year.

Yunyi

This year passed very quickly but there was many events that must be noted down. The IU day is the first one that must be noted. I can still remember the feelings of happiness during and after IU day. The event can also show how we can work so well together even though we still haven't know each other that well yet. The second one would be national day. Although there were many problems occuring throughout the training but on the actual day, everyone worked together without quarrels or disputes. It was fast but very beneficial for all of us. There are still many events that i don't know how to put down into words.

It has been one year already, there was new and old friends. Old friends changed maybe not a lot but even a little was noticeable. There is still a lot to know about old and new friends. Our bonds are many and close but not long, it only covers a few people. The bonds are always changing, being pulled and pushed by all of us as we get along with each other. Sometimes the bonds reach out to others but other times, kept closed. Sometimes we tried to understand but other times we just ignored.

There is still one more year so we have one more chance but the deadline for this chance will come fast and unexpected. We might still stay the same way without noticing. However, if we treasured this chance, I am sure that the bond will be just one that covers all of us.

Zhenyun

从一开始，就有三十一只小蜜蜂，飞进了这一班。

当然，从不同的地方飞来相聚，自然就有不同的个性和习惯。

刚开始，大家都对这个温暖的窝抱着很大的期望。

希望这个窝就是一个开开心心，没有烦恼的天堂。

但是事情怎么会这么简单。

大家开始的欢乐时光，渐渐黯淡。

Hello, how are all of you doing? This is to people who still faithfully read this blog, like Jonathan and Zhi Wei. Hope life is going on well for both of you and most of the others. And Jonathan has changed his specs! To one with white-coloured frames. Which makes him look particularly conspicuous. :)

Anyway i met zhang lao shi in the canteen just now and she asked me to pass down the message for Yiheng, Jonathan, Sharon, Zhi Wei, Regine and Therena to meet her after school on Monday because you all didn't hand in an important form last yr so she needs you all to call ur parents in her presence or something.. Just look for her in the staffroom after ur lessons end. Pls remember cos she sounded serious.

OMG sharon just created part 2 of the aloha changi quiz.
THIS IS PART 2, answers by sharon also.
If you all want to do also can :)

Q19. It's the second day at the chalet, who wakes up first?
Jolene who hasn't been sleeping the whole night because Yongsheng forced her to play taiti and she is now insomniac.

Q20. Jolene opens the front door to discover the setting is changed and realises this is "Silent Hill", what happens?
She'll totally run back in and wake all of us out. Yunyi will try to call for help but realises there's no reception. The guys still sleep, except for Yiheng and the curious few who look out of the window. We will all then split into two, one group stays indoors while the others venture out into the dark and see what happens, if we all stay together and the monsters attack us, we're so doomed.

Q21. The faceless nurses (typical silenthill monster) meet the venturing group, what happens?
The venturing group should consist of Therena, Yunyi, Angela, Zihao, Ng yong, Jonathan, Shikai and I because we're more outgoing. The other outgoing people should stay at the chalet to protect the people like Sinyi and Jane. We shouldn't have gone too far, so we close up and slowly retreat to the chalet, not making a sound to alert the nurses. Should the nurses start charging, we dash back and everyone gets into defence mode, closing up all doors and openings. We would all get our weapons ready just in case.

Q22. Describe the fighting scene.
Joey and Timothy would be first aid, and Shiko would turn on her NCC mode and start shouting at the nurses and bashing the one same nurse, shouting in her spastic manner "欠打啊?!" while the girls will gang one nurse together. We'll get the knives from the kitchen and start killing, while the guys would protect the weaker girls, KTH will hide behind his ghost friend he made earlier and Yiheng would be slapping ghosts shouting fuck with the girls, cos we're all insane LOL!!

Q23. Chalet K is situated on a small hill (it's true!) and in the afternoon, water starts flooding in. What follows?
That means everywhere else below is already flooded, we can't escape. Guys carry the frames of the beds down and we cover up the gaps in the frames with parts of the cabinet we broke down. Girls gather all food and water available, and we sail out on our wooden boats. Yongsheng should by now be devastated cos his saxophone is submerged in water, aw man, about time it got destroyed anyway.

Q24. You guys turn on the TV and see a video of a group of people being massacred, and right in the room you guys are in now. You realise this is "Vacancy", what happens?
Omg follow what the protagonist does in the film, everyone check the chalet for trap doors, cameras and secret exits. Nobody is to move alone, and we block up all of them with furniture and Zhiwei the whiz disables all cameras. The door should definitely be locked by now, and we can't escape, so we'll all crowd into one room with weapons and get ready. Clever people like Renzhi should be able to calculate by what means the killers enter, and Weiquan the hero will be on the front guard. Yunyi calls for help to Mr Ho, and suddenly Timothy kills us all.

Q25. Suppose the dead body brings his mob back, describe what the cowards would do.
Seek refuge in the wardrobe that leads to Narnia upstairs.

I think this is damn creative, maybe I shall create my own too.

Imagine 2B is going for a chalet at Aloha Loyang, chalet K, and answer the following questions.

Q1. Who has the key?

Q3. What would happen if the kitchen went on fire in the middle of the night?
Therena would probably scream like mad and start throwing buckets of water over it while sharon watches by the side and Jolene giggles and the guys just let the house burn.

Q4. Who was responsible for the fire?
Wanxin who likes eating alot and thinks she can cook but she cant! Or Joey might leave the stove on because of her clumsiness

Q5. What would happen if there was a ghost?
I would think that it was shikai playing a prank. Because I had a dream of him doing that, LOL. And I would slap the ghost

Q6. It's horror movie night! Who's freaking out?

Q7. If it was "Saw" and Jigsaw suddenly jumps out from the TV screen with an electric saw, what would happen?
Scream like mad and start running in all direction then the whole house will be chaos and those who cant run like renzhi will be caught first and in the end, I would be hiding with teeyeeyang and amanda in the closet, then everything would be quiet then suddenly got foot steps from the ceiling then water drops...

Q8. Everyone jams in the room at night when suddenly somebody's handphone rings and gets a miss call, who's handphone is it?

Q9. Yunyi hears her own scream in the phone and realises this is "One miss call". What happens next?
We would all gather and hide in a room, we will push furnitures to the door and then there would be bangings, then we would all cuddle together(yes even the guys) then we will be shivering and as the bangs get louder and louder, we would be screaming and hide together into the blanket....then the blanket attacked us. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Q10. You guys check out the big freezer in the kitchen and find a dead body inside. What do you do?
START SCREAMing, I will alert sharon and therena who would faint and then we would dragged all our belongings out and take the midnight bus ride.......

Q11. You realise the doors are locked and you cannot escape, what to do now?
WE stick together, hide in a place where its bright, not in the toilets not in the kitchen(abundance of kitchen window where a face might pop up, we would stay in a room without a kitchen facing outside...And await well we push furnitures to close the door up........

Q12. The dead body marches in with his army of friends, what happens?
Firstly scream...then try in vain to rescue all our friends, support each other, fight together, until no man standing. Try to keep each other alive, bleed together, die together.
Q13. It's bbq time! But you guys realise you're locked out of the chalet.
I would get really mad and start complaining and banging the door and then Someone cool and reserved and yet brave like maybe sinyi will call the management

Q14. Food starts disappearing, who's the culprit?

Q15. One of you open a cabinet and a whole lot of never-ending cockroach line strings out. What follows that?
I will just relax I think then renzhi will scream and run faster than shikai can ever do. Then Yinghao will step on them.

Jolene or maybe wanxin with the stashes of sweets.

Q17. They realise the wardrobe leads to Narnia. What happens?
We would all go and play snow until some of us cant tahan then yongsheng need to go for band.

Q18. You guys enter the chalet and suddenly, the walls, ceiling and ground starts caving in.
WHAT THE FUCK SCREAM then start running in all direction, teeyeeyang would probably get a bumper on his head too bad he's tall. Then if its like the shows that the room will close in vertically and horizontally, the people who would be crashed first would be teeyeeyang and kuantsuhsiang... then the shorter ones would be damn happy they can make it. or maybe we would all the squished to the bones.

Nobody would know because we were all upstairs and most of us sleeping if not, engrossed in taiti. Then Zihao would want to drink water,go down to the kitchen and run out shouting about the fire, and everyone would bring whatever pillows/blankets available and start hitting like mad, we wouldn't leave because it was too fun to fight the fire.

Q4. Who was responsible for the fire?
Wanxin who wanted to eat some spaghetti at night.

Q5. What would happen if there was a ghost?
Kuan Tzu-Hsiang would make friends with it and exchange lame jokes with it all night long, because none of us really listens to him.

We will pack and leave immediately.

Everyone moves as a group (nobody is daring enough to move alone) to check out other exits and windows. If they are all locked and we cannot leave, we will all lock ourselves in one room and prepare for the worst, finding weapons for defence, in case. Jonathan and Weiquan stand near the door to guard it, while the rest cover all windows and try to call for help.

Q12. The dead body marches in with his army of friends, what happens?
Therena whips out her penknife and starts kniving them while Zihao the wushu guy uses a mop to whack them down. Yiheng and Amanda use their incredible flexibility to fight the army while Angela and I will probably be shouting fuck and shaking/slapping the zombies up. Zhiwei uses his guitar to beat the army up, while everybody else joins in the fight but maybe Sinyi and Jane are hiding under the bed. Whole lot of kungfu fighting, and we're definitely victorious.

Q13. It's bbq time! But you guys realise you're locked out of the chalet.
We totally crash into the chalet, that's easy.

Loh Ying Hao who ate my chocolate bread last year.

Ng Yong would be trying to close the hole, Sebastian should be whacking too. Yongsheng should be trembling in the refrigerator.

Er Sebastian? Trying to hide inside during a game, or maybe Joey wants to put her clothes inside.

Q17. They realise the wardrobe leads to Narnia. What happens?
We all venture inside and get into the adventure of our lifetime, omg. Except maybe Yinghao, Sinyi who want to stay with their family and Yongsheng who needs to go to band.

Omg Jonathan/Yeeyang/Weiquan would be first to crush and Jiemin would suddenly be thankful for her height because all the short people are able to escape via an available window. Jiemin would then stop wearing her shoes when taking height and weight index.

Hey this is Sharon. Therena initiated the idea that we all get together and catch up on each other this Christmas season. I'm thinking we can maybe catch a movie, Avatar I heard is not bad!

Ok I think I'd really want to thank people who stayed overnight (either or both nights):
Joey, Sharon, Jiemin, Amanda, Jolene, Wanxin, Therena, Weiquan, Zihao, Morgan, Yongsheng, Sebastian, Yeeyang, Zhiwei, Shikai, Jonathan and Mr Ho. I think its not easy to already try accomodating your schedule for class chalet and let alone asking permissions from your parents. So, really thanks for staying over!

And people who made an effort to come even when they can't stay overnight:
Jane, Sinyi, Regine, Yunhui, Anyi, Yiheng, Tzuhsiang, Yinghao, He lao, Zhang lao shi and He Shi mu, for attending the bbq, or just by coming. Really a big thankyou(!) to those who asked but still can't come, its okay cos we can have chalet next time and you might be able to stay over! For people who rush over just early in the morning, and of cos the three teachers who came for bbq. Thanks alot, your prescence here made a big difference :)

Everyone in fact. Zihao, Yeeyang, Joey, Morgan, Yinghao, Therena (i can't think of any already sheesh pls tell me who else!) who braved thunderstorm and rain to get the bbq stuffs (LOL). The boys and some girls for carrying heavy tables and chairs, a few of you who did the preparations and laying of bbq items esp Therena and Sinyi.

Thank you bandsman (nys) for your rarely shown enthusiasm and most of the time bbqing most of the food. The satayman (zhiwei) for going around delivering satays. Sharon, Zihao, Mr Ho, Weiquan, Sebastian, Jonathan, Yiheng, Morgan, Therena, Zhang lao shi, etc (please tell me who else!) for helping to cook bbq food and fanning them like siao. Thanks lots.

Hellooo sorry this came (super uber duper) late! Ok so here are the plans and details for class chalet yeah.

16th, Monday
12.30 - 1.00pm: Meet at JE platform at the lift there (towards Pasir Ris). Half an hour interval is for waiting for late people.
1.00 - 2.00pm: Shuffling, and boarding the train to Tampines.
2.00 - 3.30pm: Lunch, grocery shopping (will tell you why) and taking bus29 to Aloga Changi
3.00 - 3.30pm: Check in, unpack, explore the chalet.

Yes, if you're wondering, we'll be taking bus29 that's why we have to alight at Tampines. If we take to Changi, we'll have to take shuttle bus. I tried checking for the timing of shuttle bus service but the website didn't include them. We will alight right infront of Aloha Changi. (the alighting part to be confirmed)

And there's a dress code. Please wear class T-shirt on that day. I know the tshirt size is quite big for some of yall, but if you fold the sleeves, it actually doesn't look that big. :)

17th Tuesday
6.00pm - Start the fire. While some people go collect bbq items. (to be confirmed)

BBQ fire have to start 1h30mins before. We must buy butter and honey to enhance(LOL) the flavours of the BBQ food.

18th Wenesday
We'll check out at around evening. That have to depend if you guys want to dinner before or after checking out. (to be confirmed)

Things we'll do (and I will recommand):
1) cycle.
There should be places to rent the bike so I think its good cos prolly we might have nothing to do.

2) Watch sunrise(!!!)
it'll be super cool cos I've never really watch the sunrise before, busy lifestyle (actually trying to get on train in the peak hours) to notice sunrise. Good time to bond also :)

3) To the beach.
We can go to the beach to enjoy the breeze and play w water lol!!! I know Mr Ho told me there's a beach but I hope its clean.

4) Watch dvd/s
yup, we'll be watching dvds (prolly horrors/gore or lame Jack Neo's comedy, to be confirmed) every night. If not it'll be boring at night, well this of cos does not apply to bbq night. (actually if yall want also can)

5) Block catching (at night)
I played this before (when I was SUPER young) at chalet. Its fun but for safety purposes there must be at least one partner to accompany you. And of cos, some people have to stay in the chalet to take care of the house lol!!!

6) Mahjong and poker/uno cards, chess etc
but someone has to bring 'em yeah :)

7) kbox (VERY optional)
Firstly cos kbox very expensive, and also not alot people can go (the room is small and not enough microphone LOL), thirdly we have to go downtown if yall want to sing kbox. Just a suggestion yeah.

Games we (might be) playing:
i) Truth or Dare (improved version ty)
Actually very simple. There'll be two people doing the dare/truth together or to each other. Dares will be set before the thing in the middle spin (:

ii) Scavenger hunt.
hmm more details revealed on the day itself :)

We won't be playing much games as we don't want to make it a very compulsory event that we must all participate. There'll be more free time of cos. And you guys can play random games like shoot,shag,marry or qin2 ni3 geng1 wo3 zhe4 yang4 zuo4, etc. Please, no more rating games unless you include the whole class in it.

Things to bring:
a) 4 sets of shirts/shorts/pants/skirts/undergarments etc. If you don't want to bring so much clothes, please bring at least 3 sets, just in case.
b) Please wear slippers/sandals! If you want to wear sport shoes also can, just remember to bring extra socks.
d) toiletries (ie. toothbrush, WE CAN SHARE TOOTHPASTE WAHA, comb, shampoo etc. Girls can bring pads lol)
e) bring a hanger for your towel if not you can bring extra towels.
f) Yes, please bring chargers for hp/camera/mp3/ipod/itouch/etc
g) if you're wearing contacts, bring your eyedrops and contacts container. (apparently me only la)
h) yes please bring extra money money~ (for bike rental, food, etc)
i) whatever you want (ie psp, gameboy LOL, want bring xbox also can~)
j) if you want play mahjong or poker cards etc, PLEASE BRING. Don't expect others to bring it for you lol.
k) earpiece, blabla

By the way, I asked and was told that we have to store food (lol like hibernating like that) cos there's no food court, fast-food restaurant or convenient store nearby. If you were to call for delivery, it might be very expensive yeah.

So in that case we have to do some grocery shopping before we check in, to cook. HAHA good time to put your home econ lessons into practice LOL. Erm and I checked, the kitchen there are fully equipped with inventory items such as cooking pot, rice cooker also have, fridge, microwavee oven, wok, ladles, meat chopper LMAO, can opener, scissors, etc etc etc. So we can cook! :D btw we can still have cup noodles party.

If yall don't want to cook, we can go down Tampines Mall to eat.

I want people to confirm to me, Sharon and Therena again for:

Erm I would like you guys to do me a favour. As you know I am making a class video, I'd need help in people contributing in (photos+videos), if not it couldn't be a successful one yeah. If you don't like the terrace I featured, the rest are awesome too! If we book those that are one storey only, at super peak times we only have to pay $250 with BBQ pit inclusive! It's such a steal, why would you want to go to Downtown for one room only (Aloha is one whole house ok!!) without kitchen and living room, just a stupid room? If you want to go Escape and sorts, by all means we can take transport there!

BBQ food as Therena showed us, is really a steal also! Please thank her, everything is found at the cheapest rates for your sake!!! And they're available, if one is not the other definitely is, just choose one will do since they are all so cheap.

Class chalet rates

This is Sharon and I'm glad to announce that on the 16, 17 and 18 (Mon, Tues, Wed) of November, the chalets are free. I checked the booking system and they charge us for the BBQ pits too so for us as non-members booking a chalet at Downtown East (Deluxe Room, that's the only thing available), one room plus BBQ pit is $420. If we're booking two rooms instead, it's obviously twice the price.

The deluxe room is fully air-conditioned, has 4 beds (one big bed to accomodate two and two more beds to pull out from below), a bathroom, tv set, dvd player, fridge, hot water flask and towels. Sadly there is no kitchen so if we are bringing things to wash like utensils and stuff, maybe you can use the bathroom LOL. And I'm not sure if we can all squeeze into one room, but if we're booking one room it's $16.80 per person if 25 people are going.

We have already come to the conclusion that if you have to leave, leave. If you one whole day cannot come, then don't come and we will charge separately. I advise that we book asap as they are probably running out and we can slowly settle the charges. (not that charges do not include money for BBQ food)

Hello 2B, the design is done. (Just so you know, the "2B '09" was drawn for fun and was never intended to be there) Ng Yong, the tiny thing beside your face is a "Mr. Men" character, though not "Mr. Perfect" but will do. And Yunyi, I have decided to improvise your face by adding your catch-phrase. Of course, Renzhi your mouth is shifted to the center and last but not least, Anyi and Yunhui have swapped positions.

CLASS TEE AND CHALET MATTERS

Hello 2B, this is Sharon.

First and foremost, the faces for the class tee just need your names to be added in and I am still thinking about where the "2B '09" should be placed, whether in front on the left or at the back above/below the faces. I will be asking the class about this soon, another problem to consider is whether the words are too thin to be imprinted, let's see how it goes. I'm thinking of getting it done before the class chalet so we can wear it on the chalet.

Next is about the chalet. There were some mistakes in the question so I'm discarding that survey. I will be handing another survey out, LOL. No rushing, still some time to the December holidays. (: Also, I have taken into consideration that the chalet be held on the first week of the holidays, if any later I suppose we would all get kind of awkward? And about organising other outings, I think you guys can organise youself, the welfare com is not there to make everything happen but to encourage class bonding. (:

Also, start saving up (don't say I didn't remind you!!!), I will go crazy should I hear anybody complaining about costs, zzz. Also, please voice out (except for cost problems) should you feel differently about decisions made so that you can enjoy the most out of these arrangements!

The following is a rough outline:

9am Meet at Vivocity/Harbourfront MRT station (to be confirmed)
9.30am Movies
11.30am Lunch (buy/pack/bring yourself and meet at Skypark to eat)
12.30pm Travel to Sentosa, free time
4pm Pack up and leave
5pm Dinner at Vivocity
6pm Dismiss
7pm Approximated time to reach home

The following are questions you might ask:

Q- What if it rains?
A- If it rains around 12.30pm and is persistent, we will head down to Giant and buy snacks to enjoy and make our way to Wanxin's house to watch horror films.

Q- What if I have to leave early/events in the morning?
A- You may join us or leave as and when you like, just be sure to contact somebody and ask about our current location.

Q- What if I meet with unfortunate events during the outing?

Add on:
Sin Yi asked me about celebrating the birthdays of those who are born in November and December. I think we'll be celebrating them during the chalet, and we'll have a cake as a form of dessert as well as a treat for those born in the later half of the year. For those people who have their birthdays during the June Holidays, we will be celebrating it during the June class outing and a cake will be there as well I think. There's no need for a XL-size cake during the outing, as we'll just criss-cross cut the cake and everybody will definitely get a slice. Of course, the biggest slice are given to those who did not receive a cake on their birthday but have their birthdays in January to June. Hope this makes things clear.

To Regine: I don't like the idea of bowling. I can picture people sitting down and not involving themselves. And we can only play bowling and some people might not be interested. Unlike the Sentosa outing last year, everybody can do what they like although we have to stay in the same venue. Unlike in a bowling alley, we all have to either bowl or chit-chat. However, thank you for your suggestion and I will include it as one of the outing choices and let everybody vote.

I know everybody is looking forward to some fun-filled class activities, I am too. Such thoughts fill my mind almost once everyday and I try to think of enjoyable activities that will address the class.

During the June holidays, we will definitely be having a class outing that will span the whole day (what's the point of a short outing when the holidays are so long). What I currently have in mind is a picnic-cum-fun activities stuff at West Coast Park or East Coast. Maybe we can go Escape Theme Park or Wild Wild Wet but if we do now, we won't during the December chalet. And, unless the class strongly wants to go to the movies, I am against it because in the movie theatre, you can't talk hence there is no bonding at all.

Chalet is a must as long as I am a welfare leader (yes, autocrat or whatever you name it). It will take place in the end of the year, with the same line-ups like barbecue and horror film screenings. Perhaps, some of your parents will disallow your staying overnight or even going to the chalet. You have ample time to persuade them either by results or by showing you have matured and can/are able to take responsibility of looking after yourself in the next 6-7 months. For those who often lament about the impacts of financial crisis, save just $1 a day from now to then and you'll be ready to check into a hotel, not just go for a chalet. This saves us from all the common problems and all we're left with is the planning and organisation which will be done approximately during September-October. Lastly, if your parents insist that there be parental guidance during the chalet or else you will be locked up at home, I'm sorry but I can assure you that the teachers will only be visiting and not staying because an adult means responsibility means fun is cut off. If you still insist, then I'll label you 'void'.

Class tee? If a good number of people wants it and a decent design is produced, we can put it into consideration. If anyone wants to make class jacket, class shoes or socks whatever you like, search up the word 'practical' in your lovely Longman dictionary because I'm against the idea, not because I'm afraid of costs or I'm a poor little beggar-girl on the streets, but because it just shows the idea of 'myself' over memories.

Also, as a form of commemorating the best of 1B/2B, we will be giving out certain recognitions to people worthy of certain titles. So look forward to that.

In the mean time, show that you do care about class-bonding by participating in Project Vibrant Colours!

We all started off as strangers but gradually,we got to know one another better and our class became more bonded.Even though there were a few unhappy arguments in our class,we managed to resolve them.Everyone proved to care for this class when they turned up for the last class outing last year at Sentosa.Even if some went just only because their friends were going and some went home before the class outing ended,it didn't matter since we ALL turned up.

We had many fun times last year and of course,some tough times.We've been through thick and thin as a class and all that has happened last year has proven us to be the 2Bee we are today.Are you going to let this class spirit within you die away eventually?Are you going to regret it after you change classes in Year 3 and regret not cherishing the times we had together?Are you going to do your part for the class?

Recently,we haven't had any class outings and the relationship among us is falling slowly apart,little by little,until all of us are finally separated.We are communicating with the people mostly in our cliques.This glass should not separate us from one another.We are as one,2Bee.We must stay united.This spirit will not die.

I have decided to set dates and to ask people whether they are free. If we were to go one by one, I would most probably never get a date. So, as the availability calendar for June 2009 only marks 1st to 5th June as available for booking, I will choose within these days.

1st June falls on a monday and 5th June on a friday. I understand that most people have cca on Tuesdays and Fridays, so the combination of days I am going to offer is:

1. Mon, Tues, Wed (1st to 3rd June)

2. Wed, Thurs, Fri (3rd to 5th June)

Most of us will at most miss one day of cca, unless your cca intends to change the day of cca during the holidays. And since everybody is already rather interested then I heeded Therena's advise to put it at the front of the holiday. Can everybody tell me via sms/msn/call or any other way to tell me if you can go? If too many people can't I'll re-decide the date, and if anybody has any objections or better suggestions, feel free to tell me and,

Chalet activities

Hihi, this is Sharon, again. The results for chalet activities are out now, the following will be the compulsory-to-happen events during the chalet:

BBQ
Escape theme park
Wild wild wet
Instant-noodle dinner
Movie screening (Huge demand for horror films!)
Class activities (class-bonding games)

For the BBQ, I have to repeat again that we will have to pit in more money and it might exceed the quota of the chosen $20-50. I'll like to put Nareta (LOL!!!) in charge of the BBQ, as she is super experienced in terms of food (outing to Sentosa she prepared food for us leh!). And going by majority, we will be bringing our own utensils and bowls bla and Nareta say she will help wash LOL!!! No la, I will also be bringing dish-washing liquid to wash for everybody, I like washing dishes whether you believe it or not.

As for class-bonding games, I will entrust this task to Yunyi because she has alot of vibrant ideas and she has always wanted to plan bonding games for our class. Also, Yunyi if you wish to make class tee don't have to ask me, I will follow your decision one LOL

For movie screening, many people wish to watch horror films instead of comedy and sorts. I will be asking the class if anybody has violent objection towards watching horror films (like if you have compulsive thinking disorder and you will keep thinking of the ghost's face) must tell your reason to the class, and I believe the class will understand, we all very friendly one LOL! But honestly, watching horror films will let us have a better understanding of one another's level of bravery LOL so this part will be further updated

As for the allocation of beds, there are two nights and four beds, so a total of 8 people (4 boys and 4 girls) can sleep on the bed. We will be having our prestigious chairpersons, Regine and Morgan, to choose from a pile of numbers to determine who sleeps on the beds. We will also be sleeping separately because:

Your parents may not allow you to go if they know we are sleeping together
Guys snore omg

So on the first night, boys take the room with the beds and vice versa. This implies that everybody has to bring your own sleeping materials (bolster, sleeping bag and your lovely teddy bear). This is quite fair I suppose, since nobody ticked under the column 'I want to sleep on the bed'

As for dress code, I understand some people want to wear their bermudas like Renzhi LOL!! Since the number of people who put their votes under 'Yes' and 'No' to the dress code are equal, I suppose we will come in our own clothes, but can everybody bring the school PE shirt to change into for the BBQ night, this is good as:

Make up for dress code
Dry-fit allows you to ventilate as you BBQ the food

As for the part about somebody taking charge to plan food, here's a rough outline I drew:

Day 1- Breakfast eat at home, lunch buy yourself (got food courts), dinner instant noodles
Day 2- Breakfast somebody cater for all, lunch buy yourself, dinner BBQ
Day 3- Breakfast somebody cater for all, lunch eat out together

If anybody has any objections/comments, please voice out and I'll make changes! As for Zhiwei's request to watching Exorcist, I'm sorry but no, because Timothy wrote: No Exorcist!!!! We will be watching less mild horror films, Exorcist is really too scary oh my. omg I totally freaked out when I read this on the bus. Now, I'm certain that the availability of chalet in Downtown is rather limited, so:

Class chalet survey results

Hihi, this is Sharon. The results for the class chalet survey are out, I will be revealing them to you and tell you what to know and will be done about it in this post.

Q1: Do you wish to have a class chalet organised?
10 people- Yes!
19 people- 随便

Since there are no objections, I assume that all of you want to have a class chalet and is prepared to pay or help organise it. Also, do ask your parents if they would allow you to go for the chalet.

Q2: What is an appropriate time to organise one?
1 person- Weekends
18 people- June holidays
16 people- December holidays (some people chose more than one option)

I suppose that it will be held at the June holidays then, I will be giving out a piece of paper with all the days and dates of the June holiday to everyone in the later part of this term to choose an appropriate date. Once results are tallied, I will be making an announcement to inform everybody. Also, do start to save money for the chalet, you have at least 2 months to do so. (if you save $1 everyday, you will get about $60 after two months, so I don't wish to hear anybody lamenting that you're poor!)

Q3: How long would you like the chalet to be?
16 people- 3D2N
13 people- 2D1N

We shall be organising one that is 3D2N following the majority. Since it is 3D2N, please be prepared to bring more money to survive and for recreational purposes.

Q4: Would you like a BBQ session during the chalet?
All- Yes!
0- No!

The results are quite obvious, and Downtown chalets have more than 300 bbq pits for you to burn as much food as you want YAY! But, if we are to have a bbq session, please consider the following:
>You need to pit in more money for food
>Somebody must know how to start the fire and poke chicken wings LOL
>You have to bring your own utensils, plates and mugs and your barbie doll bowl whatever to save money and not buy paper plates and stuff
>Leftover food? (give who LOL)

Q5: Which chalet to go?

So we'll be heading for Downtown East (it has a swimming pool!!), I'll check the prices and availability of well-facilitated chalets there and update you all if there is any information. Actually, downtown east is a good choice LOL we can go to Wild wild wet on one day, Escape on the other, then at night when we go back we all can play bonding games and online haunted house-ghost games to bond WOOHOO and as taken from the website:
